Campaigning for a prosperous, clean, vibrant and safe Bromsgrove

Campaigning on Local issues affecting Local people

Campaigning for local residents is one of the reasons why I stood for election. Everyday people are affected by the actions of our Parish, District and County Councils. Whether it is the removal of a local service, the approval of a planning application or even what day they collect your green waste. Below are some of the current campaigns or big issues that I am acting upon for the residents of Drakes Cross and Walkers Heath as well as residents from the Bromsgrove District.

Tory Council Axe Pensioner Parking Passes

Last year it was parking permits for Disabled resident, now Tory - led Bromsgrove District Council have aked Pensioner Parking permits. After meeting with local pensioners Chris was clear about the need for action to be taken by residents to voice their anger against the Councils actions.

Christopher Bloore said:

"Both Disabled and elderly residents have previously paid 30 pounds a year to park in council run car parks. Now both have lost their passes - what will be the next service cut by this incompetent and cruel Council?"

Tory Council Axe Green Bin Service!

Bromsgrove District Council have proudly told us year after year that they are in the Champions Leage of recycling. They have also told us that the Green Bin service is one of the most popular Council services and boast about its success in changing peoples attitudes to recycling. So imagine the shock of residents when they hear that the Tory dominated District Council has decided to axe the service and demand that residents pay an extra charge to continue the service they have already paid for!
